Nourish North Georgia is a program of the Rabbit Valley Farmers Market, and we are passionate about providing healthy food options to our community, especially to those in need and struggling with food insecurity. We are proud to give back by connecting local producers with people in need for the freshest, highest quality products from farmers and artisans. Join us in our mission to make healthy food accessible to everyone.
Nourish North Georgia will allow the market to purchase fresh produce and proteins from local farmers and distribute the high quality products to families though partners at the Evitt Foundation of Ringgold, Rock Bridge Community Church on Catoosa and Walker County, and the City of Refuge in Dalton.
One in every 9 people experience food insecurity in the region, and Rabbit Valley Farmers Market believes all families deserve healthy food choices. In addition to fresh produce and proteins, the program will include educational opportunities and an exercise program to address chronic health issues such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
